He pays for East Texas kids to go to college
It has nothing to do with property, nothing to do with the class, and nothing to do with anything he sells. He grew up poor in a small East Texas town and now pays for kids from there to go to university. He counts them one at a time.
“My big give outside of that is to help kids who are economically disadvantaged from East Texas go to college. I just gave out my twelfth scholarship. I'm on number thirteen right now.”
That was the count when he said it. He has almost certainly given more since, and this page deliberately does not guess at a current number, because the only person who knows it is him and a guess would be worth less than the quote.
Two things people get wrong about it
It is a college scholarship, not a homebuying one. It is easy to assume that somebody who teaches first-time buyers runs a fund that helps people buy. He does not. This pays tuition for kids who are not going to university without help, and it would exist if he sold something else entirely.
It is a small number, counted individually. It is not a foundation and it is not a programme at scale. He says a specific number because he knows each of them. That is the whole point of it, and inflating it would take the meaning out.
Why it is on this site and not the other one
Because it is about him rather than about buying a house. The homebuying work lives at HomeBuyerSchool.com and everything there is written to answer a question somebody typed into a search box. This is not that. It is the thing he does with the money, and it explains the East Texas part of everything else on this site more directly than any credential does.
